What payment methods do you accept?

My payment won’t go through. What should I do?

Sometimes banks can be a little overprotective.

I placed an order… but changed my mind. What now?

It happens.
If your notebook hasn’t been engraved or shipped yet, we can still modify or cancel your order.
Just email us at bonjour@lacompagniedukraft.com with your order number. We’ll take care of it.

Do you offer discounts or a loyalty program?

We love treating those who stick around.
Exclusive offers are shared with our newsletter subscribers.
And yes, a proper loyalty program is on its way.

Shipping & Tracking

How long does shipping take, and how much does it cost?

In France, delivery usually takes 2 to 5 business days.
For international orders, it depends on the destination.
Shipping fees are clearly shown at checkout — no surprises.

For a bit more detail, the delivery time depends on several factors:

  • the shipping method selected at checkout,
  • the day and time we receive your order,
  • whether you've chosen to personalize one or more of the items.

For non-personalized products made on-site, if your order is placed before 4 p.m - Paris time, it will be handed over to the carrier the next day.
Delivery time then depends on the carrier’s schedule (anywhere from 2 to 7 days, depending on the chosen shipping method).

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do.
Europe, the US, Japan, Australia… our notebooks travel well.
Delivery time depends on where you are.

How can I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link by email.
You’ll see every step, from our workshop to your mailbox.

My order is late or missing. What should I do?

Sometimes, parcels take a little longer — especially abroad.
But if you think something’s wrong, just reach out.
We’ll check with the carrier and find a solution together.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a notebook?

Yes — as long as it hasn’t been personalized.
You have 10 days to change your mind.

How does the refund process work?

Once the notebook is received in its original condition, the refund is processed within 5 business days.
It’s made using the same payment method you used to place your order.

Can I exchange a personalized or engraved notebook?

Each personalized notebook is made just for you — which means it can’t be exchanged.
But if something went wrong (like a defect or engraving error), let us know.
We’ll make it right, with care.

Personalization & Quality

How can I personalize my notebook?

When ordering, you can add engraving on the cover or choose an interior customization.
Initials, names, a quote — it’s entirely up to you.
The result is subtle, elegant, and made to last.

For individuals, we offer two personalization options: traditional hot stamping and high-definition laser engraving, which allows for greater creativity.
Hot stamping, done with solid brass characters mounted on a press, carries the undeniable charm of a subtle burn and an embossed effect — almost tone-on-tone, since the leather is only lightly heated (between 110 and 130°C).
Laser engraving, performed with highly precise CNC technology originating from watchmaking, provides even more freedom: logos, quotes, personal drawings — almost anything can be engraved, provided the file is properly prepared. However, since the laser literally burns the leather, the result is a dark anthracite shade with a slight indentation, though less pronounced than with traditional stamping.

Does personalization add time to delivery?

No, if it’s a traditional personalization using brass letters to compose your initials, for example.
But yes, slightly, if it involves laser engraving, which usually requires a few email exchanges.
Please allow 1 to 2 extra business days — each customization is handmade in our workshop.

Why does my notebook have small natural marks on the leather?

We use full-grain, uncorrected leather.
Its small variations are a sign of quality — raw, noble, and authentic.
No two notebooks are ever quite the same.

How do I care for the leather?

A soft cloth and a bit of nourishing cream — that’s all it takes.
Avoid water, harsh products, or prolonged sunlight.
The leather will develop a beautiful patina over time.

Care & Accessories

How should I care for my notebook daily?

Use a soft dry cloth to remove dust or fingerprints.
You can apply a bit of natural leather cream now and then to keep the leather supple.
We recommend using an inexpensive baby lotion — it’s far more economical than any leather care product on the market.
But don’t overdo it — a well-used notebook will develop its own unique patina.

There’s a white film on my notebook — is that normal?

Yes, it’s perfectly natural.
It’s just a little nourishing oil rising to the surface of the leather.
Wipe it gently with a soft cloth, and it will disappear.
It’s a sign your notebook is alive and well.

Do you offer refills or spare parts?

Yes — all our paper refills are available by format on our website.
You’ll also find extra binding screws, elastics, and useful accessories to make your notebook last longer.
