Each notebook can be personalized from a palette of 3 papers in 7 different finishes.

BLOND KRAFT PAPER

  • Calendered paper: both sides are identical. You will write on it in the same way on both the front and back.
  • Compatible with any type of pencil, pen, felt-tip pen, rollerball and works very well with nibs, even top quality ones.
  • Excellent opacity and very low blotting effect.

WHITE KRAFT PAPER

  • Calendered paper: both sides are identical. You will write on it in the same way on both the front and back.
  • Compatible with any type of pencil, pen, felt-tip pen, rollerball and works very well with nibs, although a slight blotting effect is possible.
  • The opacity is not total despite the use of recycled paper and a weight slightly higher than blond kraft.

KRAFT PAPER MILLERAIES

The MILLERAIES finish is a must-have for pure virgin fiber natural kraft: a paper with undeniable charm, frictioned (the two sides are different). The front, whose fiber is coated by friction, is a little shiny and allows you to write with any type of tool, and even a pen for those most addicted to this paper with its strong sensuality.
On the other hand, the pen will be difficult to use on the front side, where the fiber is not coated. This side is matte.
It is a paper with a nervous hand, lightened to give it this blond, clear tint.
It comes in 90 grams in all our notebooks except in the iKONE, in 70 grams.
This is a must for anyone who writes exclusively in pencil or with “bold” tools.

CUSTOMIZATION FOR AN INDIVIDUAL

For individuals, we offer limited unit customization. In addition to customization via the choice of colors, paper and screws (on certain ranges), we offer a 6-character hot stamping option on the front of your leather notebook only.

This customization is possible on smooth leather shades and is processed directly from the product sheet of the ranges of notebooks concerned: Héritage, Novum Organum and DuOrganum.

We also offer laser engraving on quote only, to be requested via our contact form.

CUSTOMIZATION FOR A BUSINESS

For businesses, we offer advanced customization options with the possibility of ordering from 10 copies depending on the level of customization desired:

Product FAQ

How to use and soften your Héritage leather notebook?

The Héritage leather notebook can feel quite stiff at first, that’s completely
normal. Its design is inspired by rugged 1928 field notebooks, built to last a
lifetime. To soften it, simply use it: open it, close it, gently bend it.
Leather naturally becomes more supple over time with regular handling.

👉 Quick tip: unscrew the binding and temporarily remove a few pages. The notebook
instantly becomes more flexible. You can reinsert the pages later. This trick is especially helpful for the size S, which is naturally more rigid. Many people appreciate this distinctive character, it’s a notebook that earns its keep and gains suppleness and personality as it ages.

Where does La Compagnie du Kraft source its leather?

All the leather we use for our notebooks and small leather goods is produced in France. We’ve chosen vegetable tanning, a method that uses natural pigments and contains no chrome. Our raw hides come from French livestock: classic leather is sourced from
Aveyron, while the oiled limited editions use hides from Brittany. Our goal is to offer you durable, high-quality products made with respect for the environment and traditional French craftsmanship.

How long does it take to make a notebook?

We craft every notebook to order, each one is unique. Our production is fully adapted to real-time assembly, whether the notebook is personalized or not. On average, allow 48 hours for production, plus 48 to 72 hours for shipping (standard tracked Colissimo or tracked letter for refills).

How many brass (or nickel) screws does each model have?

Depending on the size you choose, your notebook will include 2 screws for size S, 3 screws for size M and 4 screws for size L.

All screws are replaceable and available for purchase separately.
